PetroChina International Iraq FZE Iraq Branch is operating oil production facilities (i.e. CPF-1) in the Halfaya oil field in 2012. When they developed a second CPF (i.e. CPF-2) in Phase Two, to achieve additional production capacity of 100,000 BOPD. The existing SWP at Halfaya oil field is not adequate to meet increased demand for treated water in CPF-2. Therefor to expand capacity of SWP in Phase Two was carried by SERT. The feed to SWP is raw water from Alkahla river on the west of Halfaya oil field. The treated water from SWP will be pumped to CPF-2 through a 28 km long pipeline (24”). The treated water supply to the proposed CPF-3 will be taken from this pipeline, at a distance of 12 km from SWP.
